Elisa, who will be turning eleven this summer, likes her new white dress with blue bows. But it won’t be long before everything loses its importance. Her father’s friend has made Elisa cry and then tells her: “If you stop crying, I’ll give you a silver bracelet.” Nobody notices what has happened. Elisa is a little strange, that’s all. Until fourteen years, four months and a few days later, she becomes scared and calls her mother to say: “Help me, I’ve just remembered something terrible.”
