Synopsis:
For centuries, the human heart was a medical mystery: its function was understood, but not its structure. Paco Torrent Guasp, a family doctor in a coastal village in Spain, toiled alone during 20 years until he found the answer: the heart is a single muscular band folded over itself in a helical pattern. His discovery is a medical revolution: doctors have now a map that allows them to understand what goes on when a heart fails.
